"Director McKerrin Kelly keeps the stakes acute, with assets in her designers and committed cast." LA Times
Director's Note
At its core, I Wanna Hold Your Hand is about connection. The “dis”, “missed”, and “re” of it. As humans beings we are wired to connect to others, but whether due to injury to the brain, the heart or the psyche we often struggle to do so. I Wanna Hold Your Hand is a reflection of this human struggle to connect the wires and the many workarounds we create to fix them.
In the end, connection may not look like it used to, or how you think it should; it may take a much more circuitous route, but as long as there is a path created for meaningful exchange of information between two or more people ~ you have succeeded.
